What was that you said Karl?
Adele swept the stage Sunday night at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, winning all 6 Grammy’s she was nominated for and looked absolutely stunning while doing so! After a rash comment from Karl Lagerfeld last week, the curvy balm-shell silently put him in his place with her impeccable style and grace at the awards show Sunday night looking everything but basic in black. She didn’t wear just one knock out dress, but three! For her major red carpet moment, Adele chose a custom Giorgio Armani gown featuring sequined ring-designs with black mesh overlay and a grosgrain panel on the front. The cinched waisted gave her hour glass figure that extra wow factor making Adele the second best dressed that night. Favourite fashion diva detail; Adele matched her long, stiletto-shaped nails to her Louboutin shoes, bedazzling them with a matching blue-silver glittery polish, and then painting the underside the signature Louboutin red that coats the soles of his shoes.
Her second look while preforming her hit single Rolling In The Deep was a beautiful retro style lace dress with a polka-dot mesh overlay with exposed back zipper. My personal favourite dress of the night.
Her last look which she wore during the press conference following the awards show was a long navy blue gown.
Following Lagerfeld’s comment last week Adele stated she was proud of her appearance, saying ‘I’ve never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I’m very proud of that.’
Lagerfeld has reportedly apologized to Adele saying “I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer,” he began. “Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article, it changes the meaning of the thought.” ending the apology stating “She (Adele) is my favourite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regard to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.”
After his heartfelt apology and Adele’s wickedly stunning editorial in the March 2012 Vogue, will he consider sending her down the runway? Now that would be amazing!
